We began as a company in 1981, and were incorporated in 1984, by David A. Castleman and a small group of engineers to address the lack of advanced aerospace detection and sensing technology in the fire detection industry. During the last 29 years, we have grown into a dedicated group of fire detection professionals who continue to revolutionize the fire detection industry with our innovative products that are designed to provide the earliest warning of fires without false alarms in order to save lives and property.

Fire Sentry Corporation moved in 2008 from its former two separate single story buildings in Brea, California to a building in Yorba Linda, California, USA. Our facility is located between the beautiful Santa Ana River in the South and nearby mountains in the North. This modern two-story free-standing building has all of Fire Sentry Corporation’s operations under one roof and provides product development and manufacturing efficiencies for its entire product line. All of Fire Sentry Corporation’s Administration, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing departments are located in the same building which further facilitates all departments working closely together on the design, development, testing, manufacturing, and quality control of new products that meet the needs of Fire Protection Industry. A training room, with a full range of fully functioning Fire Sentry products and large video LCD screen, is available for the use of customers, distributors and representatives.

Fire Sentry Corporation’s is organized as a horizontal manufacturing company in Southern California’s aerospace community and because of the high technology military-grade engineering and manufacturing environment in the Los Angeles/Orange County geographical area, horizontal manufacturing is cost-effective while providing the highest levels of Mil Spec quality and reliability. Mil Spec level multi-layer printed circuit boards and "lead-free" components are procured from reliable, long-term strategic partner manufacturers that allows us to be flexible in meeting customer requirements.

What is difficult is providing reliable fire detection in the industrial environment without false alarms. A single false alarm can be very costly and resulting in costly suppression agent release and its cleanup and unrecoverable lost production. Our entire fire detection product line is proven with over 60,000 electro-optical fire and flame detectors installed in successful operation worldwide. Fast detection, alarm, and alarm verification are achieved without costly and nuisance false alarms in the most difficult industrial indoor and outdoor applications under the most extreme environmental conditions.
