David A. Castleman is the President and CEO of Fire Sentry Corporation, a privately held company located in Brea, California. Mr. Castleman, the technological founder, has spent the past 25 years directing the conception, design, development, testing, and manufacturing of innovative and highly successful electro-optical radiant energy flame and fire detectors and fire detection systems for our company. These product developments have brought high technology aerospace and military electro-optics detection and sensing technology to the fire detection industry.

Mr. Castleman was a Program Manager and Project Engineer in the Electro-Optical Systems Division at Aerojet Electro-Systems Company in Azusa, California from 1976 to 1981. From 1973 to 1976 he was an Electro-Optical Research Engineer at the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute in Chicago, Illinois. From 1970 to 1973 he was an Electro-Optical Electronic Engineer at the U.S. Department of Defense Naval Missile Center’s Electro-Optics Department at Point Mugu, California.

Mr. Castleman received an MA in Management in 1979 and an Executive MBA in 1981 from The Drucker School of Management at the Claremont Graduate School. In 1974 he completed an Optics Engineering Program at the Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester. From 1970 to 1973 he finished courses for a M.S.E.E. from the University of California. In 1970 Mr. Castleman received a B.S.E.E. from California State University.
